RIAS: Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland
The RIAS works in association with RIBA to provide services to architects and their clients in Scotland. Continuing Professional Development is required along with Professional Indemnity Insurance, which is provided by RIAS Insurance Services.

SEDA: Scottish Ecological Design Association
Technical publications, study visits to completed Low Energy projects and debate on the philosophy of ecologically sound design.

The Cockburn Association:
The Edinburgh Civic Trust. Organisers of the Doors Open Day and debate on future developments in the city.

Building Conservation Master Classes: Edinburgh College of Art
Regular attendance at an annual series of evening talks by leading practitioners on the theory and practice of building and area conservation.

The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland:
The leading National Conservation body, with interesting publications, building visits and annual presentations.
